Nonlinear 1D photonic polymer optical limiter materials

Nonlinear polymers possessing a 1D modulation in the complex nonlinear refractive index with a period near 100 nm were fabricated. The index modulation can enhance the optical limiting thresholds compared to spatially uniform polymer.
