Study of the optimum orientation of Bluetooth antennas on wearable transceivers

This paper describes the measurement of the path loss between a transceiver mounted on the waist level and a upper chest-mounted Bluetooth device, comparing the polarization of antennas in an attempt to find the best orientation and placement of the antennas on the Bluetooth devices. The basic characteristics of commercially available Bluetooth antennas were briefly described and the results of an actual implementation are also presented.
