Parallel algorithms for tomographic image reconstruction

Algorithms for parallel image reconstruction are being developed to run on arrays of transputers. Both non-iterative and iterative algorithms have been investigated. Two algorithms are presented which solve the inverse problem in each of these. The first is an implementation of a widely used non-iterative algorithm and the second, a new parallel iterative algorithm.<
