A generic PWM control method for flying capacitor inverter

The voltage-balancing problem of flying-capacitor inverter limits its application. A novel PWM control method is proposed, which has no limitation of voltage levels and can also keep the devices' switching frequencies near to each other. Simulations and experimental results are demonstrated to show its validity using a 5-level flying-capacitor inverter.
