A new calculation on the mean capacity of MIMO systems over Rayleigh fading channels

Based on some results on the characteristic of random matrices, we derive in this paper a closed form for the mean capacity of MIMO system over Rayleigh fading channel. Compared with conventional method, the formula proposed here is simple, efficient and gives detailed description on the relation of capacity with SNR and antenna numbers.
