Half a lifetime in computing: experiences in Zambia, Britain, and Australia

The author's 35 years in the computing industry is overviewed. Her career began coincidentally with a move to Zambia in the 1960s, where she learned to program an IBM 1130. Following a move to Australia in 1989, she began her own computer consultancy to the geographical information community.
