Modal analysis of two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguides using lattice sums technique

A rigorous approach to modal analysis of a dielectric guide surrounded by two dimensional photonic crystals consisting of a periodic lattice of circular rods is presented using the lattice sums technique combined with the T-matrix approach.
