The short-time behavior of a frequency-warping power spectral estimator

This paper investigates the behavior of a nonlinear frequency-warping power spectral estimator when it is used with short input data sequences. Expressions are derived for the mean, variance, and covariances of the estimate. Some discussion is also included on variance reduction methods.
