32/spl times/32-bit optoelectronic database filter based on CMOS photonic VLSI technology

A 32/spl times/32-bit database filter for relational database applications is presented. Based on CMOS photonic VLSI technology, this chip monolithically integrates page-oriented optical reading, data selection/projection logic, buffer and control interface with an electronic host computer.
