Binary and ternary architectures for a two-channel 5-bit optical receive beamformer

A binary and ternary 5 bit programmable dispersion matrix is built to control a two-channel receiver beamformer at 1550 nm. Phase measurements for the delay configurations along with beam-patterns at RF frequencies of 0.2-1 GHz are presented.
