Novel 10 W brushless DC motor of the pancake type

The authors present a 10 W brushless DC motor of the pancake type which has no cogging torque, low noise and high dynamic response. The subfractional horsepower motor uses a thin Nd-Fe-B magnet disc in combination with slotless stators.<
