A transformer coupled single-ended parallel resonant converter

The operation of an unusual single-ended parallel resonant converter is reviewed. This is followed by an examination of the alternative positions at which an isolation transformer may be introduced into the topology. The relative merits of each arrangement are discussed and design details and experimental results are included from a 50 W, 60 V to 12 V, 1 MHz transformer isolated converter.<
