2 × 2 optical switch and its applications

A 2 × 2 transverse-type optical switch using a
z
-cut lithium niobate crystal (LiNbO
3
) and two Wollaston prisms (WP's) was fabricated. As an example of the applications, an optical wavelength meter and an optical demultiplexer are proposed.
