Instrumentation amplifier IC designed for oxygen sensor interface requirements

Describes an instrumentation amplifier, using standard bipolar processing, with an input common mode voltage range extending below the single supply ground to -1 V. The integrated circuit has the bandwidth and gain necessary to meet the particular requirements of amplifying the output of a zirconia dioxide sensor to continuously measure the relative amount of oxygen in the automotive exhaust. Gain is trimmed to /spl plusmn/1/4 percent accuracy using fusible aluminum links.
