A low cost voice terminal for land applications

Presents the results of a study into the design of a low cost voice satellite communications terminal for mobiles. The objective is to provide background information to aid the design of a new communications service for land mobiles. The scope of the study is to consider a system providing a basic telephony service for cars, trucks, trains and coaches and to produce an outline design with cost estimates for the mobile Earth station. The study concentrates on the antenna and RF aspects.<
