Direct measurement of strain-optic effect in fiber Bragg gratings

We observed that the Bragg wavelengths monitored were different when the fiber was held by different strain while writing fiber Bragg gratings. The strain-optic effect in fiber Bragg gratings was directly measured by writing fiber Bragg gratings through the phase mask technique.
