Ontological Approach to Training Personnel for Complex Automated Industrial Systems

The problem of increasing efficiency of the industrial automated systems by means of the directed development of personnel skills is discussed. For example, in computer-aided engineering systems (CAD) the problem of rational division of functions between human mentality and machine intelligence is a current scientific problem. To develop skills of CAD users' design activity the educational virtual enterprise, representing a specialized PLM solution, is created. New results of the ontological analysis of the subject domain of the automated design of mechanical engineering products are presented. Free Protégé software package is used as a tool of research.
