Over the past few years, large and emerging companies have pursued many policies to reduce operational costs by relying on outsourcing. Freelancing in many countries has become a new and most prominent global wave in the world of jobs. This paper is intended to discuss the latest developments in freelancing through: A brief description of 31 Arab and foreign platforms specialized in freelancing, it's fields of operation, managements services, guidelines for users, ranking, website value, user engagement, Customer Perception Rating (CPR), Page Rank (PR), and finally ethical issues of freelancing through the internet. All in order to explore opportunities and potential challenges for the future of online freelancing. The researcher used content analyzing method based on the applied approach: by determining the problem of the study, questions, objectives, and it's importance to reach the desired results. The research paper recommended a set of recommendations that would promote freelancing through Internet.
