ZigZag Decodable Frameless ALOHA

We propose to apply ZigZag decoding (ZD) into frameless ALOHA. To fully exploit the benefit of ZD, the transmission probability of users is adaptively updated so as to increase chances for users to transmit their packets. To this end, a feedback beacon signal from the base station is utilized to acknowledge the retrieval of users. We address the transmission probability that maximizes the average throughput. Moreover, computer simulation confirms that our proposed scheme with suitably selected transmission probability outperforms conventional frameless ALOHA schemes in terms of throughput performance.
