Assessment of transient change of mental workload by spectral analysis of HRV with digital filter bank

Presents a method to evaluate dynamic change of HRV using a digital filter bank, which extracts the LF and HF components of HRV from the RRI signal. The authors evaluate their method with ECG data of subjects doing a mental work experiment. The results suggest that the authors' method is effective in assessment of the transient change of mental workload.
