PhD Forum: Improving the Security for Storing the Big Data in Cloud Environment

Cloud service adoption has increased in recent years. With the adoption of cloud service, many of the companies are using these cloud to store and process Big Data. Security measures provided by the service providers might not be enough to secure the data in the cloud. In this paper, we discuss the practical solution on which we are working at the moment to protect the data in a cloud environment by dividing the big data into small data files. These small files can be stored in the cloud without completely compromising the data in cloud effectively leading to securing the Big Data in a cloud environment.
