Design of a dual-band patch antenna with Peano-Gosper fractal slot

This paper presents a design of dual-band patch antennas with Peano-Gosper fractal curve slot mounted on a patch antenna. The dimensions of the slot on a patch antenna are optimized using particle swarm optimization (PSO) by varying the width of Peano-Gosper fractal curve slot (W) and the thickness of the slot (D). As a result, the optimized width W and thickness D are equal to 24 mm and 0.12 mm, respectively and the designed antenna can be operated at the frequency of 2.45 GHz and 5 GHz (consult IEEE 802.11 b/g/n for further detail).
