A retrospective investigation of message authentication in wireless sensor networks: A review

Message authentication has been proved very vital communication and transmitting of messages in wireless sensor networks. With growing technological complexities, efforts are made on continuous basis to improve the efficiency of message transmission with high degree of encryption to prevent message being read by anyone else rather than the specified end user or receiver. A number of different approaches are being demonstrated in past by various researchers. The present paper attempts to present a state of art retrospective investigation to discuss present status and different aspects of the various message authentication approaches.
