Distributed H∞ node-to-node consensus via aperiodic sampled-data pinning control

This paper investigates the distributed H
_∞
node-to-node consensus of multi-agent systems with a leaders' layer and a followers' layer. The dynamics of each agent are described by nonlinear differential equations and the communication topology is directed. The information communication within the same layer is continuous while aperiodic sampled-data pinning control is utilized between the leaders' layer and the followers' layer. By employing novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals and convex approach, sufficient criteria are derived to guarantee the states of each followers to track those of the corresponding leaders exponentially while keeping the desired H
