Differential Optical Dispersion Spectroscopy

By providing access to the optical phase information associated with the probed sample laser dispersion spectroscopy enables new strategies in spectroscopic sensing and has a potential to overcome some of the limitations of conventional, absorption-based molecular sensing methods. Here we demonstrate a differential optical dispersion spectroscopy, which offers a unique capability of direct, optical-domain processing of spectroscopic signatures and provides information inaccessible through conventional methods. The underlying physical principle and concepts of potential applications have been experimentally demonstrated.
