New interfaces: making computers more accessible

Industry observers say many people don't buy computers because they find them too difficult to use for many purposes. In response, researchers are trying to develop more natural and intuitive types of interfaces. They are also developing intelligent agents to help users access information better and new kinds of software interfaces.
