Investigation of strong shock waves generated in condensed targets by soft X-rays

Experimental observation of a shock wave generated in Al target by soft X-ray induced by the dynamic compression and heating of plasma in cylindrical Z-pinch geometry at ANGARA-5-1 is reported.
