Terahertz detection using optical parametric upconversion and geiger mode avalanche photodiodes

Terahertz radiation is nonlinearly upconverted to telecommunication wavelength. The resulting idler is coupled into fiber and detected with a photon counting receiver. Detection with 4.5 pW/Hz
