Soldier C/sup 3/: computer automation for the soldier

The author presents the basic concepts and objectives of the Soldier C/sup 3/ (command, control and communications) Program. Soldier C/sup 3/ is an umbrella program which includes various efforts relating to the electronics and C/sup 3/ capabilities of the individual soldier. It is composed of the Soldier's Computer and Soldier's Radio Programs, as well as a host of related concepts still under development. Some applications of Soldier C/sup 3/ are discussed.<
