Abstract:
Delivering QoS and ensuring security of Web services (WS) based architecture is critical and constitutes a significant challenge because of its dynamic and unpredictable nature. This paper provides solutions to manage security and QoS problems when exposing Web services to business partners. Based on a real case study, we first discuss the security issue in the context of an open industrial information system. Then an approach is presented to deal with the QoS issue in such systems.
