Suppose you want to find a conference paper by J.R. Tuttle about RFID (radio frequency identification) technologies. Here are two ways you perform an author search in IEEE Xplore to find the paper:

• Using Structured Advanced Search (Option 1)

• Using Free-Form Advanced Search (Option 2)

Using Structured Advanced Search (Option 1)

1. Hover on or click and then click Advanced.

2. Construct a search query that searches for Tuttle J in the author field and RFID in the document title field.

Using Free-Form Advanced Search (Option 2)

1. Hover on or click and then click Advanced.

2. Construct a free-form search query that searches for Tuttle J in the author field and RFID in the document title field.
