Distributed generation planning considering voltage stability: A literature study

This paper aims at a systematical review of the state-of-art-of research work on the distributed generation planning in today's distribution system. With the increasing percentage of the DG installation in the system, the impact of DG in voltage profile and stability has to be appropriately evaluated. For this reason, some research considers voltage stability as the main objective or important constraint for optimal placement and sizing of distribution generation. This paper covers the various objective function, solution technique and the voltage stability definition and impact in the distribution system. The immediate value of this paper is that it provides straightforward guideline and reference to researchers and planners for optimal DG placement.
