Design pattern for a single frequency TDMA-system in a typical office environment at 60 GHz

The prevention of co-channel interference is one of the main goals in the planning process of a cellular network. A static coverage prediction is a well used method in cellular network design and shows areas in which more than one base station can be received and, thus, interference can happen. In a picocellular network at 60 GHz, however, these interference areas are only limited regions around windows and open doors in most cases. Hence, a grid-based static coverage prediction can only be a rough base for the estimation of interference in these small regions of special interest. In this paper the significance of interferences in a single frequency indoor network at 60 GHz is investigated for a generic office-like environment by a dynamic system analysis taking traffic load, spatial distribution of the mobile users, and mutual interference into account.
