Time-dependent instantaneous frequency theory of charged particle motion in electromagnetic fields

We derived differential equations that describe nonlinear time-dependence of phase and instantaneous frequency for charged particles motion in electromagnetic fields in vacuum devices, with or without uniform magnetic field. The developed instantaneous frequency concept can be applied for method and technique development of vacuum electron or ion devices, e.g., mass spectrometers.
