Simulation results of Shannon entropy based flexgrid routing and spectrum assignment on a real network topology

We present a novel RSA algorithm that uses a quantitative fragmentation metric using the concept of Shannon entropy in Flexgrid networks. By applying this metric to a representative network, support for almost 10% more demands in a static growth scenario is shown.
