Fiberised set-up for retinal imaging of the living eye using low coherence interferometry

A fiberised low coherence Michelson interferometer system capable of producing transversal and longitudinal images from the eye is presented. The system has been successfully used to produce high resolution images of post-mortem human retinal tissue and very recently of the living eye.
