Q: What is an Authorized User?
A: An Authorized User is an IEEE Member and/or a person affiliated with your organization as a student, faculty member or employee.
Authorized Users are permitted to do the following:
  1. view and search the content of IEEE Xplore;
  2. print individual articles from IEEE Xplore;
  3. distribute the printed article to an Authorized User; and
  4. download a document file for personal, non-commercial use.
Authorized Users are not permitted to do the following:
  1. allow anyone other than an Authorized User to use or access IEEE Xplore;
  2. display or otherwise make any information from IEEE Xplore available to anyone other than an Authorized User;
  3. transmit electronically, via e-mail or any other file transfer protocols, any portion of IEEE Xplore;
  4. download or attempt to download an entire issue or issues of a publication contained in IEEE Xplore;
  5. create a searchable archive of any portion of IEEE Xplore;
  6. use robots or intelligent agents to access, search and/or systematically download any portion of IEEE Xplore;
  7. use any portion of IEEE Xplore for document delivery, fee-for-service use, or bulk reproduction or commercial distribution of materials in any form;
  8. alter or modify any portion of IEEE Xplore;
  9. delete or remove in any form or format, including on a printed article, any copyright information or notice contained in IEEE Xplore;
  10. reproduce or redistribute any portion of IEEE Xplore or
  11. combine any portion of IEEE Xplore with any other material.
