Bringing Together and Supporting Our Society Members

I sit down to write this “President’s Message” column as the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) 2022 Annual Meeting draws to a close. It has been an eventful week, with the news that David Eng, due to understandable personal considerations, has chosen to retire and step back from Society volunteer roles. Now, instead of looking forward to becoming president elect in 2023, I write this message to our members of IAS as incoming president. I am honored by the trust placed in me as I look forward to the challenge and responsibility of leading the Society through the near future.
