HVDC gas insulated apparatus: electric field specificity and insulation design concept

This paper demonstrates the field model and time domain calculating methods and some of their important applications, helping advance an understanding of the complicated charge accumulation phenomena and its effect on the dielectric strength of a HVDC SF/sub 6/ insulation system.
