Abstract:

In the FEVER project, the internal trading within energy communities (ECs) is forced by the introduction of peer-to-peer trading (P2P), where active electricity consumers and/or producers (prosumers, peers) need to transact energy without a fully trusted marketplace operator. The solution offers an auction-based P2P marketplace, which allows electricity consumers and/or producers to offer and request advanced energy and flexibility products to/from the members (peers) of an EC. The trading allows automatic transactions of the flexibility energy contracts based on virtual currency. Besides the demonstration of automated flexibility trading for communities, the use case plans to bridge two ECs to perform inter-community energy exchange and offer additional grid balancing capabilities to the balance responsible parties.
