High Precision Servo Control of Single-phase BLDC motor based on Fuzzy self-tuning PID

A high-precision servo control scheme based on fuzzy self-tuning PID is proposed to address the increased motor vibration and torque ripple caused by the asymmetric air gap structure of single-phase brushless DC motors. First, the mathematical model and state equations of the single-phase brushless DC motor are derived. Then, a simulation model of fuzzy self-tuning PID is designed and excellent step response curves are obtained by running simulation. Next, based on the established physical platform, the servo position accuracy of conventional PID and fuzzy self-tuning PID are compared and analyzed. Finally, the method is successfully applied to a fuel valve of gas metering system, which shows that the proposed method improves the servo positioning accuracy of the single-phase brushless DC motor and has certain market application value.
