Using open source for a profitable startup

The viability of open source projects such as Linux and GNU is frequently questioned. This month, the author shows how the use of such software can help a small, underfunded company establish itself in the commercial software arena. It's apparent that from his perspective the viability question has been answered with a resounding yes.
