Theory and use of in-line refractive index analyzers for improved process control

This process control and automation involves using an in-line digital process refractometer to determine and/or control the quality of various liquids. Refractive index is a physical property of a fluid that can be related to the concentration. A real-time continuous measurement of the refractive index can eliminate sampling, improve product consistency, reduce waste and help to optimize the process.
