Correlation-based continuous wave technique of fiber Brillouin distributed strain sensing for smart materials with cm order spatial resolution

We perform strain measurement for a ring structure by a correlation-based technique using fiber Brillouin scattering. We demonstrate that cm-order change in strain can be observed, and the results show that this technique can be applied to smart materials.
