Optical properties of distributed feedback microcavities with exciton resonance

A theoretical approach has been developed to describe the optical properties of a distributed feedback microcavity with a highly dispersive material-a one-dimensional polaritonic crystal. The characteristic features of the optical spectra of this system, observed experimentally, are investigated.
