Effect of electromagnetic fields from power lines on living organisms

This paper presents an accurate computational technique, which uses a 3-dimensional model, in which the power line conductors are divided into a finite number of segments, which are positioned in space to fit the catenary shape of the suspended conductors. For this study more than one complete span is simulated. The 220 kV-transmission line is taken as an example to calculate the electromagnetic field distribution and to study the induced currents in the living bodies under the line.
