A brief review of sensorless AC motors control

Complex control systems in the industry are maintained by specialized engineers, who use control methods and models with multiple variable parameters and nonlinear couplings. When designing a controller, control problems usually create differences between the valid installation and the mathematical models. This is largely due to unchanged or different dynamic parameters of the system. In practice, to avoid these problems, the final controller must generate the required performance levels, unless the system model is different. Due to this reason, interest in solving this problem has been significantly increased. In many areas, the use of a sensorless AC motor is used to apply from industry to home systems. The benefits of the sensorless motor include: high reliability, low complex costs, low costs, good electromagnetic immunity and low requirements. Given the development of industrial automation, it is necessary to use advanced control strategies to meet the demand of sensorless systems. For low-speed operation, nonlinearities and variation of motor parameters have a significant impact on the stability of the control system. This article describes the latest research in the field related to the AC sensorless motor. In addition, the control strategy for the practical research of industrial applications is introduced, the advanced sensorless systems for induction motors (IM) and permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM).
