On statistical-mechanical models for the molecular dynamics of striated muscle

The author addresses one class of formulations, namely, statistical-mechanical models as outlined by A.V. Hill (1938). He examines their utility and suggests muscle experiments which might differentiate between postulated mechanisms. He describes various modeling approaches possible with this formulation.<>
