Nonlinear actuator fault detection and isolation for a VTOL aircraft

The recently introduced geometric approach to the nonlinear fault detection and isolation problem is used to detect actuator faults for the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The approach leads to a filter which, by processing the outputs of the plant, detects the faults and distinguishes which one is occurring.
