Coordinate-free holographic method of determination of polarization characteristics of reflected laser radiation

We note that photodetectors and recording medium in an optical range detector has an electrical component of an electromagnetic wave of average intensity. That is why for determination of polarization of a reflected wave it is suitable to use Stokes' method. Stokes' method is useful for description of either a completely polarized or partly polarized electromagnetic wave and it is based on measurement of its four characteristics.
